Trumpet Flower

So, it has been a while since I posted something here. I was quite busy with school stuff like my Thesis and Documentary. I am intentionally avoiding ranting about thesis now so I will just share with you our Documentary Film Production topic which is basically about the flowers you see below. Our working title is "Trumpet Flower": A Devil within an Angel. Well, our topic is about this cute trumpet shaped flowers which is said to be used as an alternative to Marijuana because of its effects to human beings. Little did the so-called users know that this will change their lives forever- this will kill them figuratively or sometimes literally. By the way, our working title is "Trumpet Flower: A Devil within an Angel." We chose that because in some countries, these flowers are called Angel's Trumpet because of its beauty and Devil's Breath because of its hazardous effects.

According to www.rightdiagnosis.com,The trumpet flower is a flowering vine-like plant that bears fairly large, colorful, trumpet-shaped flowers. It is often grown in gardens as an ornamental plant. The leaves and flowers of the plant contain chemicals (solanine, solanidine) which are highly toxic. Ingestion of sufficient flowers and leaves can result in death.
In Colombia, people use this to do criminal acts against other people like raping, stealing, murder, etc. What they do is they pulverize the seeds and then process it with some chemicals and voila! you have yourself a modern-day roofie.

My Dad and I watched a documentary about this some years ago. And in the video, that person who used this actually lost his mind due to continuous use. This stuff will fry your brains and will make you like a living zombie without the power to control your free will.

When we were drafting our topic for the Docu, my mates and I agreed to try this. But after some serious research and hear-says from experts, na-uhhhh, we decided we won't ever try this sick stuff.

So done, with the scary stuff, my mates and I are headed to Baguio City where this is abundantly growing like a wild grass. We are going to be conducting interviews with experts there who has a background about the said drug.

I hope everything will fall into its place and I wish that we can find a subject who can tell us his/her first-hand experience about this. Aright, I'll give an update as soon as I have some additional info. :) Ciao!
